Culture, Society and Media production
“KSM” is the Swedish abbreviation of Culture, Society and Media production, a unit at Linköping University which encompasses several educational programs:
- Bachelor program in Culture, Society and Media production (taught in Swedish)
- Master program in Culture and Media production (taught in Swedish)
- Master program in Artistic production (taught in Swedish)
- A number of independent subject courses (some taught in Swedish, some in English and French)
KSM combines academic perspectives with media production, blending theory and practice, and succeeds in connecting the university to the surrounding world. Through their studies here at KSM, students become critical analysts of the society around us, and active participants in its cultural manifestations through work in radio, film, exhibitions, project leadership and art.
KSM is a part of The Department for Studies of Social Change and Culture (ISAK). Parallel to teaching, the faculty at KSM are also involved in a number of projects within art, cultural production and research.
