NETWORK
At the first national conference for cultural studies in Sweden in June 2005, a Swedish Network for Cultural Studies was formed. It will continuously developing new activity forms for co-operation and exchange between scholars in the field, based upon the Swedish-language e-mail based list "Kulturstudier" for discussion and information on cultural studies. This network also has a growing register (a Swedish "matrikel") where its members present their research.

On the global level, Association for Cultural Studies (ACS) is an increasingly important international organisation. At their website http://www.cultstud.org/, it is possible to become a member and get access to the Crossroads in Cultural Studies conferences and an electronic newsletter, but also to get free access to an informative international mailing list for cultural studies.
ACSIS and Centre for Cultural Research (CCR) at the University of Western Sydney are currently developing av joint research project entitled Culturalisation and Globalisation The project focuses on how the deeply interrelated processes of Culturalisation and Globalisation characterise the present era. It spans over two to four years and it will involve several workshops and Ph.D. courses as well as an extensive exchange of personnel on all levels.
